Keep On Going…

A man out in the countryside contemplating life. Keep on going.

From ‘Finding Peace In The Very Heart Of Life’ by David Rees

A man out in the countryside contemplating life. Keep on going.

Some days it will all seem too much.
You’ll want to turn around and wish you had never started.
Honour those days.

Some days you’ll be full of gratitude, life and joy.
Appreciate those days.

Some days won’t end soon enough.
Respect those days.

Some days will be easy and graceful.
Make the most of those days.

Some days you’ll need support.
Reach out on those days.

Some days you’ll be the support.
Cherish those days.

Some days you’ll feel magnificent, strong as an ox and ready to take on the world.
Enjoy those days.

People will come,
People will go,
Value their company,
And mourn their loss.

Some days will feel heavy like you have the world on your back,
Other days light as a feather,
You’ll survive them both.

Some days go on forever,
Others whizz by,
And you’ll truly never know why?

There will be bumps and hills.
Some days you will be clambering to reach the very top,
On other days free-wheeling down,
WOO-HOO!!!

Some days you’ll want to stop and rest.
Do that.
Other days you will have the energy to push on through.

Some days there will be a destination and a goal,
Other days you’ll be free to float.

Some days will be overflowing with purpose,
Other days it will appear that there is none.

Some days it may seem like there is a journey,
Other days no journey at all.

Some days you will wake up excited to get on with the day ahead,
And some days you’ll want to stay in bed.

It’s all OK.

This is life.

Keep on going…

You’ll stop,
You’ll start,
Take a few steps forwards,
And a few steps back.

You’ll break down,
You’ll break through,
You’ll lose yourself,
And you’ll find yourself too.

You’ll reach what appears to be the very end,
And then start all over again.

Keep on going…

Some days will surprise you,
Others will feel just like any other.

Some days you’ll make mistakes,
Other days you’ll get it right.

You’ll have great days and disastrous days.

Some days you’ll want to remember,
Other days you’ll want to forget.

Some days you’ll want to be here,
And on other days you won’t.

Be gentle with yourself on all days.

This is life.

Keep on going…
